For Retirement Plan Advisors

Keep Your Plan Rollovers

When participants leave one of your 401(k) plans, their money usually goes to whoever is easiest. With AET, the easiest option is an IRA that stays with you.

Why Rollovers Walk Out the Door

Account Minimums

At a 1% fee, a $40,000 rollover pays about $400 a year, but it takes about the same work to open and service as a $400,000 one.

Too Much Paperwork

Participants who have to print, sign, and mail forms often pick a retail app instead.

Nobody Answers

When a plan terminates, some participants never reply, and their accounts still have to leave the plan.

Step by Step

You add your plan once. After that, every participant who leaves has a place to go.

1
Add Your Plan
We set up the plan with you and the recordkeeper. You stay listed as the advisor on every account.
2
You Open the IRA
Start the IRA from your Business Portal. The participant gets a link, branded with your firm, to e-sign and verify their identity in a few minutes. Through our Beagle integration, they can also find old 401(k)s and roll them in.
3
We Process the Rollover
We request the funds from the recordkeeper and track the rollover until it lands.
4
You Manage the Relationship
The participant becomes your client. The account shows up in your Business Portal right away and syncs to your full tool suite, including your reporting and TAMP platforms, through Morningstar ByAllAccounts.
5
Plan Terminations Are Covered
When a plan terminates, participants who never respond go to a safe harbor IRA. We keep looking for them, and when they claim it, they can stay with you.

Every Account in One Portal

The AET Business Portal is fully white-labeled and shows every rollover and safe harbor IRA from every plan you advise. See who has opened an account, which rollovers are still in transit, and which safe harbor accounts have been claimed.

  • Fully white-labeled under your firm's brand
  • Your whole rollover book in one place
  • Real-time rollover and funding status
  • Digital onboarding with e-signatures
  • Role-based access for your team
  • Statements, tax forms, and audit trails on demand

Low-Cost Models, Plus Alternatives When Clients Want Them

Low-cost model portfolios cover the core of most rollover accounts, so smaller balances are simple to invest and manage. When a client wants more, AET can also hold alternative assets inside the same IRA.

  • Low-cost model portfolios for the core of the account
  • Real estate, private placements, private credit, and venture funds
  • Traditional and Roth IRAs
  • One custodian for both the models and the alternatives

Your Data in Your Reporting, Through Morningstar ByAllAccounts

AET sends account data to Morningstar ByAllAccounts. If your reporting or portfolio management platform pulls from ByAllAccounts, your rollover IRAs show up there next to the rest of your book.

  • Balances, positions, and transactions for each rollover IRA
  • Reported the same way as your other custodial accounts
  • Review accounts in the system you already use, with no extra login
  • Connect your firm once, and every new rollover flows through

For Recordkeepers and Platforms, the Trust API

Recordkeepers and retirement platforms that want to automate rollovers can connect directly to AET through our Trust API. Open IRAs, move rollover data, and pull reporting from inside your own system.

  • Open rollover and safe harbor IRAs by API
  • Send participant files in bulk
  • AML and KYC results returned as structured responses
  • Statements, tax forms, and audit trails on demand
  • Sandbox and full documentation
